You & ME Tour’s Third Edition Highlights LVMH Métiers d’Excellence New Dates Focus

The You & ME initiative, a traveling vocational orientation and recruitment event by LVMH, is hitting the road again from January 31st to March 27th, offering around 3,500 job opportunities in “Métiers d’Excellence” across creative, craft, and client experience domains. The culmination of this tour will be in Lyon on March 27th at the Palais de la Bourse.

Debuting in 2022 at Clichy-sous-bois, this program aims to enhance the employability of young individuals and those looking to reskill in various skilled professions, ranging from couturier and leather artisan to sales advisor. The tour will traverse five cities in France from January 31st to March 27th, followed by three cities in Italy from April 5th to May 7th, showcasing 280 highly skilled métiers and LVMH’s dynamic recruitment campaign.

The inaugural stop was in Paris at the Carreau du Temple on January 31st. This event drew over 3000 visitors and was graced by notable figures including Chantal Gaemperle, LVMH Group Executive Vice President Human Resources and Synergies, Aurore Bergé, Junior Minister for Gender Equality and Combating Discrimination, Ouissem Belgacem representing the association Le Refuge, and Tony Parker, the tour’s ambassador.

Tony Parker, founder of the Tony Parker Adequat Academy and tour ambassador, expressed his excitement, stating, “I’m thrilled to be working with the Métiers d’Excellence and have a chance to tell young people that, if they are motivated and ready to work hard, they can realize their dreams and pursue a career with LVMH.”

Visitors had the opportunity to explore LVMH Group’s diverse range of Métiers d’Excellence, from well-known to niche professions, and learn about various work/study programs, internships, and job opportunities. Interactive Louis Vuitton trunk installations at the entrance showcased leather goods, watchmaking, and jewelry, accompanied by informative fact sheets and QR codes for deeper exploration.

The event featured 16 trade workshops where participants engaged in hands-on activities and discussions led by apprentices and experts. Workshops covered diverse topics such as embroidery with Dior Couture, customer experience at Givenchy, and the art of pastry at Cheval Blanc. Virtual reality headsets provided immersive experiences into skilled métiers like jeweler at Christian Dior and sommelier at Belmond.

Human resources teams from LVMH Maisons conducted coaching workshops, offering practical vocational and career guidance, including resume writing and interview preparation. The Perspectives area showcased job openings, allowing attendees to apply directly at the event, with HR specialists present to assist.

Chantal Gaemperle, LVMH Group Executive Vice President Human Resources and Synergies, emphasized the tour’s focus on engaging with both young individuals and reskilling candidates. With the participation of 25 Maisons, the event aims to introduce future talents to the diverse Métiers d’Excellence and provide personalized coaching and online resources for career advancement. Tony Parker’s continued support as the event ambassador was highlighted as invaluable.
