South Coast Plaza Welcomes New Boutiques from Maison Margiela, Marni, Jil Sander, Balmain, and Giorgio Armani

In 2024, South Coast Plaza continues its extraordinary success, introducing over 30 new boutiques from globally acclaimed brands at the luxury center. Among the initial openings this year are BVLGARI, Cartier, Casper, Chloé, Gucci, Lanvin, and Palm Angels. The roster expands further with upcoming boutiques from Alaia, Amiri, Armani/Caffè, Baccarat, Courrèges, Dior Men, Eileen Fisher, Jacques Marie Mage, Mejuri, Santa Maria Novella, Wolford, and Zegna, with additional unveilings expected.

This follows a wave of over 30 openings in 2023, featuring recent additions like Maison Margiela, Marni, Jil Sander, Balmain, and Giorgio Armani. Notably, international fashion group OTB marked a first for South Coast Plaza by debuting three of its fashion brands simultaneously—Maison Margiela, Marni, and Jil Sander.

Balmain’s flagship boutique, introduced in late 2023, expresses excitement about joining the prestigious South Coast Plaza, providing Southern California customers with top-notch products and services. Giorgio Armani’s newly designed boutique, overseen by the designer himself, will include an Armani/Caffè with a revamped design, menu, and furnishings.

Cartier and BVLGARI are set to reveal expanded Jewel Court boutiques in Spring 2024, while Gucci prepares to open an impressive two-level flagship location adjacent to the largest Balenciaga boutique in the Americas. The luxury center’s extensive collection of timepiece and jewelry boutiques, now boasting 35 stores, continues to grow, with notable additions such as flagship boutiques from Graff, Van Cleef & Arpels, and David Yurman.

Chloé and Baccarat plan to enhance their existing boutiques, and Dior will introduce a new men’s store adjoining its flagship boutique. Palm Angels, the sophisticated street brand, is set to debut in the Din Tai Fung wing alongside recently opened brands like Byredo, RIMOWA, Missoni, Alexander Wang, and Gentle Monster.

The unfolding retail narrative at South Coast Plaza includes announcements of new boutiques from Alaia, Amiri, Mejuri, and Santa Maria Novella, alongside expansions for existing brands Eileen Fisher, Wolford, and Zegna. Notably, Courrèges, one of the center’s early luxury brands from the 1970s, makes a return with its anticipated opening in 2024.
