Minted and The Metropolitan Museum of Art Unveil Inaugural Wedding Collection Collaboration

Minted, the platform dedicated to championing independent artists, has unveiled its first-ever wedding stationery collaboration with The Metropolitan Museum of Art. The Minted x The Met Wedding Collection showcases the talents of Minted artists who have reimagined iconic masterpieces from the Museum’s extensive collection into stunning wedding stationery suites, comprising save the dates, wedding invitations, and day-of stationery. With each purchase, a portion of the proceeds will go towards supporting independent artists and the Museum’s endeavors in collection, study, conservation, and presentation spanning 5,000 years of art.

Drawing inspiration from a diverse array of works within The Met’s collection, including antique French bridal lace from The Costume Institute, late 18th-century chinoiserie, and renowned paintings by artists like Van Gogh and Monet, Minted artists have transformed these inspirations into wedding stationery designs that reflect the intricate details and timeless beauty of each artwork. Each wedding suite offers coordinating save the date, invitation, ceremony, and reception stationery, enabling couples to realize their artistic vision from the moment of their engagement to their wedding day.

The Minted x The Met Wedding Collection showcases designs by twelve talented Minted artists from around the world, including Kelly Ambrose from Georgia, Leah Bisch from California, Simona Camp from Texas, Everett Paper Goods from Scotland, Petra Kern from Slovenia, Cass Loh from Malaysia, Corinne Malesic from Australia, Kristen Smith from Georgia, Ani Somi from Washington, Ana De Sousa from Portugal, Sumak Studio from Poland, and Katharine Watson from Maine.

Melissa Kim, Minted Co-Founder and CEO, expressed excitement about the collaboration, emphasizing Minted’s commitment to providing economic opportunities for artists globally. She highlighted the success of previous collaborations, including the holiday card collection, and praised the artists for their remarkable designs inspired by The Met’s iconic masterpieces.

This collaboration marks The Met’s first foray into the wedding industry, allowing Minted to share its design expertise with couples seeking to infuse their weddings with art and culture.

Stephen Mannello, Head of Retail and Licensing at The Met, underscored the importance of encouraging creativity and self-expression, stating that the collaboration enables customers to incorporate their love of art, design, and culture into their wedding stationery.

The Minted x The Met Wedding Collection offers a range of invitation suites, save the dates, ceremony and reception stationery, and thank you cards, all customizable with personal text and photos. Prices for 100 invitations start at $250.
