Floriology Institute Unveils Dynamic Organizational Growth Initiative

Floriology®, powered by BloomNet®, a leading authority in floral design and business education, is undergoing a significant transformation within its organization. With the departure of Jackie Lacey, AAF, AIFD, CFD, PFCI, Floriology’s esteemed Director of Education, we warmly welcome Angelyn Tipton, AIFD, PFCI, to lead Floriology’s educational initiatives into a new era.

Angelyn brings a wealth of experience and a deep-rooted passion for floral education to her new role. Her extensive career in the floral industry and her dedication to staying abreast of emerging trends make her the perfect successor to uphold Floriology’s high educational standards. Having played a pivotal role in guiding students towards certification, Angelyn is poised to revitalize Floriology’s curriculum, ensuring a dynamic learning experience for all.

In tandem with this change, Floriology is thrilled to introduce innovative updates to its program offerings. While maintaining our steadfast commitment to providing a ‘Path to Certification’ for the AIFD Certified Floral Designer (CFD) accreditation and the AIFD accreditation, we are expanding our horizons to better serve our diverse student body. This expansion includes an increase in classes offered in Spanish, addressing the needs of our global community of learners.

Recognizing the evolving landscape of education and the importance of accessibility, Floriology is extending its reach beyond its Jacksonville, FL education center. By taking our expertise ‘on the road,’ we aim to meet the educational needs of florists nationwide and abroad, ensuring that top-tier floral design education is accessible to all who seek it. Additionally, we will introduce intensive retreat-style learning opportunities, allowing florists to immerse themselves in skill enhancement away from distractions.

Moreover, our curriculum will feature new classes focused on fostering ‘creative flair.’ These courses will provide comprehensive training in mechanics and advanced design techniques, empowering students to excel in competitions, testing scenarios, or any competitive setting they encounter.

We are delighted to announce the formation of the new Floriology Design team, comprised of both familiar and new floral artists who have made significant contributions to the industry. Michael Gaddie, AIFD, a decorated veteran with three decades of experience, will share his business acumen and design expertise with our students. Gina Thresher, AIFD, EMC, renowned for her diverse portfolio spanning weddings, events, and digital platforms, will enrich our curriculum with her innovative teaching methods. Alejandro Figueira Fernandes, AIFD, CFD, will bring his culturally-informed artistry and award-winning design expertise to further enrich our educational offerings.

As Floriology embarks on this exciting new chapter, we remain dedicated to nurturing the talents of floral designers at every level. Our goal is to ensure that their creative journey is as fulfilling as the breathtaking designs they create.
