Commencement of the Third Edition of the You & ME Tour Showcasing LVMH Métiers d’Excellence

The You & ME tour, LVMH’s traveling event focused on vocational orientation and recruitment, is making a comeback, offering approximately 3,500 job opportunities in “Métiers d’Excellence,” encompassing creative, craft, and client experience skills.

Launched in 2022, this initiative aims to enhance the employability of both young individuals and those seeking reskilling in various skilled professions, ranging from couturier and leather artisan to sales advisor. The tour is scheduled to visit five cities in France from January 31 to March 27, followed by three Italian cities from April 5 to May 7, featuring 280 highly-skilled métiers and highlighting LVMH’s dynamic recruiting campaign.

The inaugural event took place at the Carreau du Temple in Paris on January 31, attracting over 3000 visitors. Notable attendees included Chantal Gaemperle, LVMH Group Executive Vice President Human Resources and Synergies, Aurore Bergé, Junior Minister for Gender Equality and Combating Discrimination, Ouissem Belgacem representing the association Le Refuge, and Tony Parker, ambassador of the tour.

“I’m excited to collaborate with Métiers d’Excellence and have the opportunity to convey to young people that with motivation and hard work, they can achieve their dreams and pursue a career with LVMH,” expressed Tony Parker, founder of the Tony Parker Adequat Academy and ambassador of the tour.

Guests are encouraged to explore the diverse array of Métiers d’Excellence within the LVMH Group, ranging from widely recognized to lesser-known specialties, and to discover the various work/study programs, internships, and both temporary and permanent job opportunities available. Three engaging and educational Louis Vuitton trunk installations greet visitors at the entrance, each shedding light on specific realms: leather goods through the Louis Vuitton Sac Coussin bag, watchmaking via the Hublot Big Bang Unico timepiece, and jewelry featuring Tiffany & Co.’s The Bird on a Rock brooch. Informational fact sheets outline associated training programs and métiers, with QR codes enabling visitors to embark on video tours or listen to personal narratives.

Throughout the tour, representatives from 25 LVMH Maisons, including apprentices and seasoned practitioners of various métiers, actively engage with visitors through hands-on workshops. Activities range from an introduction to embroidery with Dior Couture and exploring customer experience at Givenchy to discovering the art of personal shopping at Le Bon Marché, writing in chocolate with a pastry bag at La Grande Épicerie, and mastering the art of pastry with an expert from Cheval Blanc. Meeting these apprentices and artisans offers a firsthand glimpse into remarkable savoir-faire alongside skilled professionals. Virtual reality headsets provide immersive experiences into the daily routines of jewellers at Christian Dior, leather goods prototype makers at Fendi, sales advisors at Louis Vuitton, or sommeliers at Belmond.

Human resources teams from LVMH Maisons organize coaching workshops that offer practical vocational and career guidance. Presentations cover essential topics such as resume and application letter writing, interview preparation, and more. The Perspectives area, equipped with tablets, displays a myriad of job openings for direct applications at the event. LVMH human resources specialists are present at tour events, facilitating in-person resume submissions. Additionally, the “You & ME Challenge” invites visitors to test their knowledge and stand a chance to win a Métiers d’Excellence prize.

Chantal Gaemperle, LVMH Group Executive Vice President Human Resources and Synergies, expressed enthusiasm, stating, “The You & ME tour targets both young individuals and those seeking reskilling opportunities. With the participation of 25 Maisons, we engage directly with our future talents to showcase these remarkable Métiers d’Excellence and guide them in choosing an inspiring career. We offer personalized coaching from our HR recruiters, along with an online space where individuals can prepare for interviews and apply for the latest job offers across our six business sectors. We are thrilled to once again have the invaluable support of Tony Parker, the ambassador of this event.”
